BLC Community Services started one of the earliest pro bono legal clinics in Singapore.
Our volunteer lawyers have assisted hundreds of beneficiaries on a wide range of cases since the set-up of this Legal Clinic in 2005 (and later formalized under BLC Community Services in 2008). Areas of assistance include family law, employment disputes, will and estate matters, tenancy disputes and criminal law.
Our Legal Clinic is open to all, regardless of nationality or area of residence within Singapore. We do not conduct means testing.
We believe in supporting the individuals and families that come for our Legal Clinic holistically, understanding that legal challenges often come with emotional and personal difficulties. Where helpful, we journey alongside each person, offering additional support. Our goal is to extend to individuals the care they need to navigate their situation with confidence, restoring hope and stability to their lives.
